About Us

Davenport City Hall
The council-city administrator form of local government combines the strong political leadership of elected officials in the form of a council or other governing body with the strong managerial experience of an appointment local government administrator. Approximately 50% of US cities with populations of 25,000 or more, and 47% of US cities with populations of 5,000 or more have adopted the council-city administrator form.

City Administration includes the Office of the City Clerk, Affirmative Action Office and the City's Communications Director. The Deputy City Clerk is designated to perform all tasks for which the City Clerk is responsible.
